Informal Greetings in German

When greeting family and friends.
"Hallo" needs no translation (like Hello) and is the most commonly used. Pronounce as "Hah-low"

"Morgen," "Tag," and "'n Abend" are shortened versions of time-related greetings.

"Grüß Dich" is means "I greet you". You only use this greeting someone that you know very well.
Pronounce as "Grewss dikh"

Note "ß" is sometimes represented as "ss"
